Extra-curricular afternoon schools (Tanoda)
This research project – supported by the Roma Education Fund – was conducted in 2008. Its direct aim was to survey all the extra-curricular afternoon schools (Tanoda) existing in Hungary in order to get an insight into their pedagogical work, networking-practice and examine the level of their embededness into local community. The indirect goal of the investigation was to construct the criteria of effectiveness of their work, to collect features providing their sustainability and by providing up-to-date data to support the planning of future funding schemes and calls for tender.
